Horley has one fireworks night left in 2026: Horley Cricket, Hockey and Squash Club’s bonfire and fireworks at its clubhouse on Horley Row, on Saturday 7 November, 7pm to 10pm. The Horley Lions display at the Recreation Ground has already happened. It was on Saturday 17 October, three weeks before Bonfire Night.

Bonfire Night itself is Thursday 5 November 2026, so the cricket club’s display is on the Saturday after it.

Horley Cricket Club fireworks: Saturday 7 November

The club’s calendar, published on its hockey section’s website, lists “Bonfire Night” for Saturday 7 November 2026, 19:00 to 22:00, and says: “Join us at the clubhouse for the annual bonfire and fireworks display. A family event for everyone to enjoy. Details will be updated with full timings closer to the date.”

  • Venue: Horley Cricket and Hockey Clubhouse, Horley Row, Horley RH6 8BG.
  • Date: Saturday 7 November 2026, 7pm to 10pm on the club’s calendar.
  • Full timings and 2026 ticket prices: not yet published. The family ticket in the cricket club’s online shop showed as “Unavailable” on 21 October, so tickets do not appear to be on sale online yet.

What last year looked like gives a fair idea. For the 8 November 2025 night the club announced gates at 6pm, the bonfire lit at 7pm and the fireworks at 7.30pm, with a professional display, a themed bonfire and an outside bar as well as the members’ bars in the clubhouse. Tickets were £5 each, or £15 for a family of two adults and up to three children under 12 bought in advance, and £20 for a family ticket on the gate. Advance tickets were sold at the club bar and at Watties, Dappers and QVS. Those were 2025 prices; we will update this page when the club publishes 2026’s.

Unlike the Lions display, the cricket club sold tickets on the gate last year, at a higher family price.

Horley Lions at the Rec: held on 17 October

The Horley Lions Charity Bonfire and Firework Display at Horley Recreation Ground, Brighton Road, RH6 8SS, the one most people mean by “the Horley fireworks” or “the Rec fireworks”, took place on Saturday 17 October 2026. Ticket sales on Eventbrite have closed. Horley Town Council’s events page had carried the same date since May.

The club moved it well ahead of Bonfire Night on purpose. Asked on its booking page why, Horley Lions answered: “We have to hold the event on this date as we did not want to clash with School holidays, Halloween and Remembrance Sunday.”

For the record, and as a guide to next year, this is how the 2026 display ran, from Horley Lions’ own fireworks page and its Eventbrite listing:

  • Gates opened 5.30pm, the bonfire was lit at 7pm and the fireworks started at 7.30pm, with the event due to end at 9pm.

The Lions’ house rules are worth knowing before next year, because they catch people out:

  • No tickets on the gate. “Entry will only be allowed with tickets purchased in advance,” the club says.
  • No parking at the ground, apart from a few blue badge spaces, which the Lions say are limited because Surrey Fire and Rescue and St John Ambulance need room on site.
  • No dogs or pets, except service dogs.
  • No food or drink brought in. The Lions run their own barbecue bar.
  • No sparklers or fireworks of your own. They are hard to clear off the grass and can hurt the dogs that use the ground the rest of the year.
  • The gate at Vicarage Lane and Charlesfield Road closed at 7pm, before the bonfire was lit, and everyone left by the main gate.

The date moves from year to year: in 2025 the Lions held it on 1 November, with the same times and prices, according to the town council’s listing. Nothing has been announced for 2027 yet. The Lions’ fireworks page is the place to watch.

Getting to both venues

The cricket clubhouse is on Horley Row, RH6 8BG, on the north side of the town. The Recreation Ground is on the A23 Brighton Road, RH6 8SS. Both are walkable from Horley station and the town centre, which is the simplest answer on a fireworks night when parking near either is tight. Other displays near Horley and Reigate

There is no council fireworks display in Reigate or Redhill this year. Nothing in Reigate, Redhill, Banstead or Tadworth appears on the borough council’s own events list. The free display that opened Reigate on Ice at Priory Park, which the council announced in October 2024, went with the rink, which did not return in 2025.
