Redhill Business Guild meets at The Light on Thursday 12 November from 5.30pm, with its 10th anniversary member survey results and four local speakers.

Redhill’s businesses will hear what the town’s traders think of the place after a decade of the Redhill Business Guild, when the Guild meets at The Light on Thursday 12 November.

The meeting starts at 5.30pm. The Guild says it will present “the results of our 10th Anniversary member survey along with four local speakers”. It has not yet said who the speakers are.

How the evening runs

The Guild’s own website says all its meetings run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, “with an hour of informal networking then an hour of meeting”. Its poster for this one gives the same times, The Light, Redhill.

It is mainly a members’ evening, but members are encouraged to bring someone. “Bring a friend/colleague,” the newsletter says: members can bring a guest as long as they let Donna know numbers first, by emailing the Guild at redhillbusinessguild@gmail.com.

Members who want to speak or present at a future meeting are asked to contact Paula Edwards at paula@thechainagency.co.uk.

Ten years on

The survey marks the Guild’s tenth year. Its website says it was formed in September 2016 “to provide a collective voice for businesses in the town”, and that members meet every other month “to meet other local professionals, make alliances, learn more about our business community and lend our voice to local decision-making”.

With support from Reigate and Banstead’s Economic Prosperity team, the Guild says it has grown to run several projects a year, including the Redhill Christmas Tree and the #DestinationRedhill town events.

Members marked the anniversary at The Light. The Guild’s 2026 meeting list on its website names the Wednesday 23 September meeting as its 10th birthday. “Huge thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Redhill Business Guild,” the newsletter says. “It was great to see Guild members old and new celebrating a decade of achievements in supporting the town.”

It thanked “our three Chairman, Richard Coad, Andy Nash and Ian Matthews for their leadership and to The Light for their hospitality”.

Joining

Membership costs £75 a year. For that, the Guild says, members get seven networking events, the chance to speak or present at one of them, support on social media and in its newsletter, a listing on its website “and your say in local business issues”. It says membership fees are reinvested in projects to support Redhill’s businesses and the wider community, and that it welcomes “all Redhill businesses and organisations who want to improve Redhill for its businesses and community”.
