No Reigate on Ice this winter, so Hampton Court opens 20 November from £14.50 a child. Five rinks near Reigate with 2026 dates, prices and booking rules.

Reigate on Ice has not come back to Priory Park this winter, so most families here skate at the Christmas rink at Hampton Court Palace (from 20 November), at Guildford Spectrum, an indoor rink open all year on the direct train line from Reigate, or at Streatham Ice Rink. Burgess Hill has a free rink for one weekend. Every entry checked against the rink’s own site on 3 November 2026.

We have not skated at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry gives the dates, the prices the rink’s own website or booking page showed on 3 November, and the rules that catch families out: age limits, skate aids and what booking on the day costs. Seasonal rinks price by day and time, so the figure at checkout may differ.

Travelling by train after 19 December? No trains call at Redhill, Earlswood or Merstham from Sunday 20 December to Sunday 3 January while Network Rail renews the track. See how the replacement buses run and our Christmas train times before you set off.

Christmas rinks

1. Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink

An outdoor rink set up in front of the palace’s west front each winter, run by Icebox Live with Historic Royal Palaces. Historic Royal Palaces gives the season as 20 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, excluding Christmas Day, with the first session at 10am and the last at 8pm.

It is a separate ticket from palace admission. Sessions last up to 45 minutes with skate hire included.

Children under 3 are not allowed on the ice, under-13s must have an adult (18 or over) skating with them, and one adult can supervise up to five children. The rink says weekdays before 3pm are quietest, and recommends those sessions for wheelchair users.

The rink does not say which days count as peak; the price shows at checkout.

Not running or not confirmed

  • Reigate on Ice, Priory Park: the Matthews Organisation ran it from 29 November 2024 to 1 January 2025 (Reigate and Banstead Borough Council). Its website now redirects to a parked-domain page and the council’s events calendar for November and December 2026 lists no rink. If it is announced, this page will say so.
  • Epsom On Ice: the rink at Epsom Downs Racecourse ran in 2024/25 only; the racecourse’s 2026 listings show Christmas parties and no rink.
  • South of England Winter Fair, Ardingly (21 and 22 November): the fair’s page lists ice skating at an extra cost on top of entry, but on 3 November its skating ticket link was still labelled 2025, so 2026 times and prices are not out.
  • Crawley: no rink announced for 2026.

How we chose

These are the rinks people in Reigate, Redhill, Horley and Banstead search for when the borough has none, chosen on the public record rather than on taste: real ice within reach by car or train with a 2026 season or year-round sessions published by the operator, plus the one free rink nearby. Dates, prices and rules come from each rink’s own website or booking system, read on 3 November 2026; Burgess Hill’s rink is from the town council’s festival programme, and Hampton Court’s dates from Historic Royal Palaces. Central London rinks are left out as a longer trip from here.
