Reigate has two Christmas markets on Saturday 28 November: Priory Park from 9.30am with Santa's helicopter, then the Church Street fayre from 11.30am.

Reigate’s Christmas market day is Saturday 28 November 2026, and there are two markets on it. The Redhill and Reigate Round Table opens its first Christmas market in Priory Park from 9.30am, around Santa’s helicopter landing. From 11.30am the Reigate Business Guild’s Christmas Fayre takes over Church Street and Tunnel Road, ending with the lights switch-on.

Both organisers have published the date. Neither has published a full 2026 running order yet, so the times below are what each has confirmed, with last year’s shape where that is all there is.

The quick answer

  • Priory Park, Saturday 28 November, from 9.30am: the Round Table’s new Christmas market of local independent stalls, with Santa arriving by helicopter.
  • Church Street and Tunnel Road, Saturday 28 November, from 11.30am: the Business Guild’s Christmas Fayre, with the Christmas lights switched on in the afternoon. Church Street closed all day last year.
  • Earlier: a free Christmas craft fair at Reigate Library, Saturday 14 November, 10am to 4pm.

Priory Park, from 9.30am

The Round Table’s Santa Landing page lists Saturday 28 November 2026, from 9.30am, Reigate Priory Park, and says: “PLUS this year we have our very own Christmas Market with a range of stalls from local independent businesses including Love Reigate.” The Round Table presents the market as new this year.

The rest of the morning, as the Round Table lists it:

  • Father Christmas arriving by helicopter, welcomed by the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead
  • Santa’s photo booth grotto, fairground rides, face painting and balloon modelling
  • Hot food and drink, mulled wine, sweet treats and a pizza van

The Round Table asks families to “dig deep for charity”; it publishes no entry charge. It has not given a landing time or a finish time. Our Santa page has the history of the landing, last year’s timing and the grottos that open the same day.

Church Street fayre, from 11.30am

The Business Guild’s What’s On calendar lists the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 28 November 2026 at 11:30, Church Street and Tunnel Road. Its fayre page names the 2026 headline sponsor as Savills and the Tunnel sponsor as Reigate Specialist Orthodontic Practice, and describes the day as “by far the busiest day of the year in Reigate”.

The same page sets out how the fayre normally runs:

  • “Each year we close Church Street from 06:00 to 19:00”, with stalls open from 11:00 to 17:00.
  • Food, drink and gift stalls, plus a tombola and a chocolate tombola that raise money for the Christmas lights.
  • The Christmas lights switch on at 16:30. Our Christmas lights page has what happened at last year’s switch-on, including Santa on the Old Town Hall roof.

The fayre pays for the lights. The Guild’s Christmas lights page says they cost about £15,000 a year to maintain, install and store.

Reigate Library craft fair, Saturday 14 November

Two weeks earlier, Reigate Library in Bancroft Road holds a Christmas craft fair on Saturday 14 November, 10am to 4pm, with “festive fun, handmade crafts, gifts, refreshments and much more”. Entry is free (Surrey Libraries).

Horley’s fair is later

Horley’s Christmas Fair is run by the Horley Association of Town Supporters (HATS) and falls in December. In 2025 it was on Saturday 13 December, 10am to 4pm, in Horley High Street, with food, music, gifts, crafts, children’s activities and a Santa’s grotto (Horley Town Council). The 2026 date has not been announced; we will add it when it is.

Getting there and parking

Church Street was closed for thirteen hours on fayre day last year, from 6am to 7pm. Expect the same, and expect the town centre car parks to be full by late morning when both markets are running. Our parking in Reigate page lists the car parks and charges, and the roadworks and travel page will carry the road closure notice when it is published.

Still to be confirmed

  • The 2026 fayre running order, including the switch-on time and the Church Street closure hours.
  • The Priory Park landing time and how long the market runs.
  • Horley’s Christmas Fair date and any Banstead or Redhill Christmas markets for 2026.
